Description:A thug is an unskilled person who uses his physical strength to bully others. The word "thug" commonly describes any brutal sort of thief, such as an armed robber or guild thug. People who are used as muscle by criminals are typically thugs.
Thugs intimidate the common people, act as body guards, and perform acts of violence for their employers (or just for fun).
Other than beating people senseless, thugs have few options. Armed robbery and extortion are common for "freelance" thugs. Some more intelligent thugs might attempt more complicated violent crimes, such as kidnapping.
Combat Technique:Thugs typically use big, nasty-looking weapons. They don't have alot of finesse, but they hit as hard as they can.
Preferred Skills:Intimidation.
Benefit:None.
Disadvantage:These guys are typically low-rank criminals and thus die or get arrested alot.
Fictional Examples:Real World Examples:Made men in the mob.
Appropriate For:Usually minor npcs and villains. Thugs are usually male.
