Description: A street urchin is a thief who steals to survive. Typically, a street urchin grew up in an impoverished environment. He steals to survive and has no regret for his actions. He may have been taught that stealing is wrong, but having something to eat is more important.
A street urchin knows the area he lives in (typically a city) thoroughly and probably has many useful connections.
This character will generally develop into another kind of character type, such as the Peasant Hero or Professional Thief.
Combat Technique: Any or none.
Preferred Skills: Stealth skills and skills related to finding food in a city.
Benefit: An underworld criminal can count on a limited amount of assistance from his organization. Depending upon how successful the underworld criminal is, he may receive large amounts of payment for his crimes.
Disadvantage: An underworld criminal will be required to perform dangerous and illegal tasks for his organization. Additionally, anyone who betrays the organization can expect to be killed.

Appropriate For: Anyone except villains. A street urchin "villain" wouldn't seem dangerous at all, but it could conceivably be in a villain's history.
