Description: Spies gather information. In some cases, common eavesdroppers may be considered to be spies. More professional spies are often hired by guilds and governments to infiltrate their rivals' ranks and acquire information.

Spies are important for supporting large organizations (such as governments) that are involved in some sort of clandestine activities. They are also useful for acquiring technology and getting the upper hand against business rivals.

Most spies are permanent employees of the organization they serve. Freelance spies are possible, but spies thrive upon being anonymous. To get hired, spies would have to be known to their potential employers, and being known makes their jobs more difficult.

Combat Technique: Generally rather limited, but some spies have more combat skills than others.

Preferred Skills: Disguise is the classic spy skill. All spies must have persuasion and stealth skills.

Benefit: None.

Disadvantage: The standard penalty for professional spying is death.
