Description: A relic seeker is similar to an Archaeologist in that they can be found digging around important ancient cultural sites. However, they are there to find relics, not to learn about the past.
Typically, relic seekers are just thieves. Some may be searching for relics for other reasons. Perhaps they're looking for ancient technology to save their civilization. Perhaps they're only trying to recover their culture's sacred artifacts. Others have something more sinister in mind - such as finding some ancient relic that will allow them to gain more power.
Combat Technique: Relic seekers don't necessarily have combat skills, but many of the evil ones are essentially just bandits with bandit-like combat skills.
Preferred Skills: See Archaeologist. Combat and stealth skills are also useful.
Benefit: Relic seekers may have useful relics.
Disadvantage: Even good relic seekers may be adversely affecting by the reputation most relic seekers have developed as thieves.
Fictional Examples: Edward Wilde (The Librarian: Quest for the Spear) was a corrupt Librarian who faked his own death so that he could recover the Spear of Destiny and use it to conquer the world.
Real World Examples:
Appropriate For: Anyone, but usually npcs and villains.
