Description:A protector was selected by his tribe to protect it. Protectors are often a specialized example of Barbarian type. There are also many Nomad protectors. It is possible to have other kinds of protectors.
A protector's job is simply to protect his tribe. Protectors are usually charismatic as they often have a place of honor and visibility in their tribe.
A tribe usually only has one protector at a time, but they may also have one or more protectors that are still in training.
Combat Technique:Since a protector's purpose is to protect his tribe, a protector's combat technique is often defensive in nature.
Preferred Skills:Warrior protectors will have lots of combat skills. Spellcaster protectors will primarily have defensive and healing spells with a few offensive spells as well.
Benefit:Protectors are typically given some sort of ceremonial weapon for protecting their tribes. Also, a protector has the respect of their tribe.
In many cases, the protector will have some kind of item or magical ability that makes him aware when his tribe is in danger.
Disadvantage:Protectors must protect their tribe whenever aware that it is in danger. Also, they typically can't get too far away because it's difficult to protect people you're far away from.
If a protector's tribe is destroyed but the protector survives, the protector must avenge their deaths.
