Description: This is simply a thief who steals to make money, rather than for some other reason. They're often "mercenary" thieves in that they'll accept payment to steal specific items.

A professional thief has no concept of honor or loyalty and is, at best, bound only be a contract. She honors her contracts only because that gives her a reputation for dependability, resulting in more contracts.

To a professional thief, theft is merely a job. A dangerous but well-paying job.

Combat Technique: Any or none.

Preferred Skills: Stealth skills. Diplomacy and etiquette skills may be useful if the thief is also a Swindler.
