Description: An outlaw is someone who lives outside of the law. Outlaws are criminals, and anyone who enforces the law is looking for them. The typical example is a group of thugs who rob people. Such outlaws take what the want, when they want.
Outlaws are never good people. For the "Robin Hood" type of outlaw who's fighting against an oppressive government, the Freedom Fighter and Peasant Hero types are more appropriate.
A seafaring outlaw is called a Pirate.
A variant of the outlaw may actually be on the run from the criminal underworld instead of the law.
Outlaws typically don't last long. They typically are killed by whatever organization is after them, but there is a small chance that they can end their outlaw status by eliminating the organization. Some outlaws may escape the area and start their lives over, but they can never be certain that the organization hunting them won't track them down.
Combat Technique: Varies. Typically, either guerilla warfare or mass attack tactics are used. Outlaws won't have any qualms about "dishonorable" tactics and may actually prefer them.
Preferred Skills: Stealth and combat skills. Survival skills are also useful.
Benefit: Outlaws have the dubious advantage of not having any code of conduct to follow. Outlaws are often part of a group, giving them some allies.
Disadvantage: Outlaws are being hunted by the law. If the law isn't looking for them, they're not outlaws. Outlaws who are part of a group have allies, but those allies are typically unreliable and treacherous.
