Description: A militiaman is a poorly-equipped soldier assigned to defend his home town should it be attacked by enemies.

Combat Technique: Usually, militia are either dying or running away.

Benefit: Militiamen typically receive some sort equipment or payment from their towns despite the relatively low risk of their occupations.

Preferred Skills: Any, but usually as few as possible. Militia are usually farmers and blacksmiths as opposed to actual soldiers.

Disadvantage: Militiamen are rarely, if ever, capable of fighting effectively against regular soldiers.

Fictional Examples: No one significant. Militia hardly ever play an important role in any story.
