Character Types

Name: Guild Assassin

Category: Profession

Description: A guild assassin is an Assassin who is a member of an organization who murders individuals for hire. Alternatively, an organization might contain its own assassins' guild but be involved primarily in other operations.

Either situation is relatively unlikely given that murder is illegal in any society advanced enough that it would need an assassins' guild. Any assassins' guild would probably start out as a guild within a criminal organization but might change into its own organization if the demand for murder is high enough.

Combat Technique: Same as an Assassin.

Preferred Skills: Same as an Assassin.

Benefit: The assasin has his guild to back him up. Also, she's received training from her guild and will benefit from the experience of the other assassins in her guild.

Disadvantage: Guild assassins have all the same disadvantages as Assassins. Additionally, if they anger their guild, they'll have a powerful enemy who won't hesitate to kill them. An assassin usually can't leave her guild alive - the guild will assassinate her to protect its secrets.
