Description: A brash youth is some young guy who thinks he's a great warrior. In reality, he's a two-bit thug or a braggart.
A brash youth knows little about actual adventures but has heard lots of stories about them. He wants to emulate the heroes he's heard about, so he seeks out adventures. When a brash youth finds a real adventure, he quickly finds out that adventures aren't all fun and games.
A brash youth can be a real menace, especially to himself. Left on their own, they can get into all sorts of trouble. The teenage kid who attacks the local bandit is a brash youth. He thinks he can "rescue" his town from the village but just gets himself killed.
No one can stay a brash youth forever. Sooner or later, the brash youth will either get killed or wise up and stop being so brash. They may wise up over time as they gain more experience, but they may also be shocked into realizing that real life (such as it is in a game) isn't all it's cracked up to be. Maybe they get someone killed. Maybe they are nearly killed themselves and survive only by the skin of their teeth. It could be anything that's enough to really scare them.
Brash youths are usually male, but female brash youths are possible.
Combat Technique: A brash youth generally runs up to the nearest foe and starts pounding away with his weapon.
Preferred Skills: Any, but usually as few as possible.
Benefit: None.
Disadvantage: A brash youth will always accept a bet or a dare. Brash youths lack the experience to make wise decisions and will recklessly do anything "brave", no matter how stupid it is.
