Description: Beggars are people who beg for food and/or money. These characters are completely unable to support themselves and survive only by receiving aid
Some beggars are not so destitute as they seem. Some are thieves, and others are Connivers.
"Professional" beggars usually have some kind of trick that keeps them alive. Some sell gossip that they hear, and others work as messengers or spies. Sometimes there will be a team of beggars, with one beggar distracting a wealthy-looking person while the other robs him (see Cutpurse. Some beggars work with local thieves' guilds, giving a share of their income to the local guild in exchange for protection.
Combat Technique: Usually none, but stealth techniques are possible.
Preferred Skills: Begging. Professional beggars will often have acting and disguise skills.
Benefit: None.
Disadvantage: Beggars are typically scorned and are sometimes subjected to various forms of abuse. Begging is illegal in some areas.

Appropriate For: Anyone, but usually npcs.
