Description:A barbarian is a primitive tribesman. They're often involved with some sort of animal or spirit worship. The classic barbarian is a large warrior, but any barbarian tribe would have shamans and other personnel.
Depending upon what the barbarian's tribe is like, the barbarian should have some sort of fishing, herding, or hunting skill.
Barbarians are typically strong and cunning. Most barbarians despise the customs of non-barbarians, considering them to be decadent and weak.
Combat Technique:A barbarian generally runs up to the nearest foe and starts pounding away with his weapon. When there's a whole tribe of barbarians, this works well.
Preferred Skills:The classic barbarian is skilled with weapons such as bows, slings, spears, and swords. All barbarians have to have survival skills. Many will have agricultural skills and other skills related to tribal life.
Benefit:Most barbarians would be able to rely upon their tribes for some limited help.
Disadvantage:Barbarians are primitive, so they can only have primitive equipment when they begin play. They can acquire better equipment later. Also, their ignorance of civilized customs may cause them problems at time (primarily during interaction with civilized people).
Fictional Examples:Conan the Barbarian (though he wandered alone in the books, he originally came from a tribe)
